Chute Happens

Out Of Site, Out Of Mind

A builder survived a six-storey fall down a lift shaft because workmates had been using it as a rubbish chute. Doctors in Podgorica, Montenegro, believe a pile of cardboard packaging and plastic at the bottom of the lift shaft cushioned Branislav Gomilic's fall so that he only broke his arm. "One minute he was talking to us, the next he had disappeared," said a colleague.

FOOTNOTE: No arm done.

You've outdone yourself. Chute Happens? No arm done? Brilliant.

I've missed you! Did you ever make it to Vancouver?

Ah yes, and all's well that ends well! Luckily he didn't fall on his head! While I'm here, I'd like to nominate Brenda at http://countryromance.blogspot.com/ for post of the day. Very touching post and so important to us right now at election time.

That was a beautiful fall and what better place to land than in a refuse pile.
