I commend to your attention, for inclusion in the next installment, the following by Hilary:

As magnificent a piece as I've ever seen. Funny, touching, good photos, it has it all.

Thank you, David. Someone just came over to my place from here. I have to get ready for work now, but the others look so amazing. Will go to them later!

A great selection, as always - many of which I'd already read before nodding in agreement with your choices.

Sully, you're such a sweetie. Thank you for that mention. :)

What an amazing group of blogs you've put me with ... I am sincerely honored ...

I think a thank you to Cath for pointing it out is also necessary ...

That poem has long been a favorite of mine and I can never read it with choking up ... and my photo seems to be the right compliment to the memory of all those who lost their lives and those who lost their loved ones ...

What a lovely surprise I've just had. I followed your very sweet comment back from my blog and found that you'd selected my post "Remembering Grandma" for a Post of the Day. Thank you, I'm very touched.

Now I'm off to have a good poke around here and read more of your work and the work of the other posters you've mentioned.

What an honor to be included in this group. Thank you.

Thank you also for taking the time to publish these "posts of the day". It takes the detective work out of finding great bloggers and sort of dumps greatness into ones lap.

Which leads me to believe that my entry was a mistake? :)
