Verse And Worse

Random Wit, Errant Rhyme. Not A Literary Crime

I thought I'd put out a couple of feelers
About being an officer on the paddlewheelers
But apart from being an Outback hick
They failed me because I get seasick

As I arrived on your blog and read: Thursday, September 4th it freaked me out! Then I realized, "Oh right! He lives in 'down-under'!" Indeed there is a bit of time difference!

As I say goodnight to Wednesday, September 3 here in Canada, I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

I guess you will have to let that job go
Though why you crave it, I'll never know!
You are good at the photos, so do what you oughter
Keep taking snaps and stay off the water!

Did they make you walk the plank?

Be careful where you put that feeler,
Or they'll have you checking the boat sealer --
From the under side.

Such a job would make the strongest sailor,
Turn more than a couple shades paler --
In fear for his hide.

LOL!

Yep, definitely no chance of making a sailor if you can't bear the toss and turn of the waves!

I married a Sailor years ago
who offered to show me the world aglow
by any means that man deemed fair
but he refused to show me the world by air...
